Frequent Chocolate Consumption Linked to Lower BMI

This is a study that all of us chocolate lovers like to see: eating chocolate is associated with being thinner. The fineprint says that eating chocolate frequently is associated with a lower BMI, but the amount of chocolate was not associated with a lower BMI. There are more questions than answers with this study, but it does contribute to a growing amount of literature suggesting that weight gain is not just linked to quantity of calories, but quality of the food. This study was published in a research letter in the March 26 issue the Archives of Internal Medicine.
