Vitamin C Supplements May Lower Blood Pressure A review article by researchers at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that supplementing one's diet daily with 500 mg of vitamin C could reduce blood pressure by 3.84 mm Hg in normotensives and 5 mm Hg in those with hypertension. While this is not a lot, if it combined with increased exercise, increased fruits and vegetables, weight loss, and stress management, it could be substantial.
