Grape Juice and the Brain

My previous post pointed out how juices high in fructose can inhibit learning. Now I came across a study in the April issue of the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry that showed that Concord grape juice may improve cognitive function and increase brain activity. 21 older individuals, average age 76, with mild cognitive impairment were recruited to drink 6.3-78.8 ml/kg body weight of grape juice per day. You can read more about this study here: http://www.nutraingredients-usa.com/Research/Concord-grape-juice-shows-brain-boosting-potential/
